Welcome back! Today I want to talk about the visionary dilemma. This is something that many of us visionaries get stuck in because we are filled with these brilliant ideas and visions about what we want to create in the world. We are looking to impact humanity and transform the way that the world looks right now.
But along with this yearning, you may be sitting at your desk, overloaded with to-do lists and piles of things that you need to get to. You may be constantly called into fire drills and need to jump in to help your team. This leads to you sitting there with your brilliant insights but not possessing the time needed to take action on them. Then your mindset is, “when I have more time, I’m going to get to do these amazing things that I want to see happen.”
From there, every time you step away for vacation or a conference or something like that, you’re losing income and momentum in your business. This is because your business is dependent on you for growth. If you’re not there hustling, the business will screech to a halt.

Flip the Freedom Switch on Your Schedule
This can lead to burnout and exhaustion, and that’s no way to live. That means you’re not living your vision, right? Inside the 7-Figure Freedom Method, I have what’s called the Flip the Freedom Switch on Your Schedule. It will allow you to free up 10 to 15 hours per week to allow you the time you yearn for to get to the important things in your life and business.
So how does it work? Well, first you’ll track your time for three working days, writing down how you spend your time in 15-minute increments. Here, you’ll be as detailed as possible for your entire day from waking up to going to sleep.
After you do this, I want you to find the things you LOVE doing and mark them with a heart. What things do you enjoy that utilize your genius?
Then, mark with an arrow the things you wish you could delegate. It could be things you don’t like doing or things you wish your team could take care of independently.
Then there are the things that are kind of in between. You need to examine if you’re good at them and if you should actually be the one to do them. We also want to identify the things that you’re good at but that are too low-grade for you to be completing and using your time for. If you want your business to grow, you need to be willing to let go of things.
Another thing that we want to look at in this activity is how you’re shifting from one task to the next. Whenever you transition, you’re losing momentum and in most cases, each time you’re transitioning you’re losing 15 minutes minimum.
How much time you spend doing left brain versus right brain things is another thing we look for from this time tracking. It’s very hard to switch gears back and forth, so this is another opportunity to increase efficiency and save time.
This examination unveils where you’re spending time that’s not for business-critical activity. These are the things you want to focus on the most in order to drive growth. Putting this attention on your time will make you aware of the opportunities you have to free up more time.
Then, you can look at each of these pieces and decide what can be delegated, what can be automated, and the plans for putting those pieces into action.

Unlocking the Freedom You Yearn For
Here’s the great part: this unlocks the freedom you yearn for. Time freedom and financial freedom are huge. I want you to be able to step away from your business without losing income or momentum. I want you to also be able to spend time with loved ones and to be able to take care of yourself adequately. If you’re depleted and exhausted, it’s SO hard for your business to grow.
Financial freedom allows you to invest more in your business, level up your lifestyle to suit your tastes, plan for the future, and meaningfully give back to the world. It allows you the flexibility to do the things you want to do in life.
Finally, creative freedom will be unlocked as well. You’ll have the freedom to take action on your brilliant ideas. That “one day” mentality will be diminished because you’ll have the time and money to take action on your visions.
You’ll have the freedom to soar in a more visible way and to be the leader that you want to be. It will allow you to tap into your team for support and step into the world as the visionary you are.
Reconnect with Your True Gifts: The Bottom Line
Escaping the visionary dilemma, freeing up your time, and delegating appropriately allows you to focus on the things within your zone of genius. You’ll feel more fulfilled and be able to tap into your true gifts, pushing your visions forward and providing you with the freedom you need to live the life you’ve imagined.
