This post is the last in this month’s 7-Figure Freedom methodology series, and I’m excited to talk about the fourth and final step of the method. This step is called optimization.
Any time you install anything new into your business, it’s vital to optimize it. A lot of times, though, what I find is that people don’t optimize things and then that results in them throwing out what they installed because they assume it doesn’t work.
This doesn’t allow you to grow because it means you’re always throwing things out and starting new. There are so many things you’re doing right in your business that you need to amplify, others that need to be tweaked, and things that should be optimized. Understanding this and identifying these things will help you grow quicker and will enhance your ability to scale.
Scaling vs. Growth
I’ve seen a lot of CEOs and visionaries that have businesses that are growing, but once they get to a certain point, they allow the growth to stop. That’s because they’re burnt out and tired of hustling to make more money and keep pushing the business forward. I totally get that.
But, there’s a much more aligned way to accelerate your growth in your business. It’s all about scaling. This is different from just growing your business; scaling is about being strategic, amplifying what’s already working in your business, and leveraging that success to prompt rapid growth.
Usually, this requires you to do less and not more. But a tricky thing for CEOs is figuring out what needs to be amplified and what’s working. There are other things that will need to be tweaked and optimized while other things will just need to be thrown out entirely. Figuring all of this out can be challenging because business owners are so close to their business that they may not have the perspective needed to really see what’s going on.
The Financial Catch-22
Especially for business owners whose company is somewhere in that six-figure zone, they might be stuck in what I call the financial catch-22. This is where you know what you need to do but you don’t quite have the resources to make it happen. And while you’re on the ground working and building things, you don’t have the perspective to help you see where to go next.
So step four is all about optimizing everything we’ve installed. The first step is to look at all of the pieces that have been installed and tweak them to ensure they’re working well for you, your business, your team, and what you’re looking to achieve.
Failing to do so could result in clunky systems and workflows. We want to ensure you have a streamlined experience for you and your team. Your team needs a system around them to keep them accountable and give them a clear picture of success in your business.
Once we optimize things and customize them to your team and your vision, you will have a well-oiled machine. I call this the hum. You’ll be able to feel the energy of your team working and doing their thing to accelerate growth and deliver top-notch services for your clients.
Your team, workflow, process, automations, and simplifications will do the heavy lifting so that you as a CEO can step away. You’ll be able to see the big picture and step into the bigger role that allows you to make your big vision a reality.

Optimization Makes Things Work: The Bottom Line
It’s great to install systems and processes into your business. But the optimization step is crucial in specifying it to the needs of your company in order to ensure everything clicks. Skipping this step can result in frustration and the impression that things aren’t working when they have the potential to work beautifully once they’re adjusted accordingly.
I hope this has taught you what the install is all about and has gotten you thinking about how it can apply to your own business. We’ll continue this deep dive next week!
